The Beginning
In the aftermath of 9/11, when the world was grappling with uncertainty and fear, Greg Henson saw an opportunity to make a difference. Working for Microsoft in New York during that tragic time, Greg witnessed firsthand the challenges businesses faced as they struggled to rebuild and relocate out of lower Manhattan. But he wasn’t content to stand by and watch. Driven by a deep sense of responsibility and a desire to help, Greg volunteered his time to assist these companies in getting back on their feet. What started as an act of compassion quickly became a mission.

The Inspiration
The work was overwhelming, and it became clear to Greg that he could do more if he dedicated himself fully to the cause. So, he made a bold decision—he left the security of his job at Microsoft to help these businesses full-time. Out of that decision, Henson Group was born. Starting from the humble confines of his tiny one-bedroom apartment in NYC, Greg was the first and only employee for the first nine months. He poured his heart into the work, providing free IT migrations and support to companies in desperate need. As these businesses regained their footing, they recognized the value of Greg’s expertise and commitment, and they began hiring him to build and maintain their IT infrastructure.

What began as a one-man operation quickly grew, fueled by Greg’s unwavering dedication and a reputation for excellence. Henson Group expanded from 1 to 4 to 12 employees, and today, it stands as a global powerhouse with offices, partners, and clients worldwide. We are proud to be the #1 Azure CSP provider and one of only seventy Azure Expert MSP companies globally. At Henson Group, we’ve mastered the art of scaling a highly profitable business without relying on external funding. Our secret? We focus on what matters most—our clients’ success. By leveraging organic revenues and building powerful flywheels for revenue generation and customer satisfaction, we’ve created a sustainable business model that continues to thrive.

We’re still driven by the same passion and dedication that Greg Henson brought to the company from day one. We still offer free migrations, a tradition that harks back to our roots in helping businesses recover after 9/11. The Future
The future is very bright, and there is so much we can do since the cloud is one of the few things that affects every business. The cloud is universal, and we harness Azure to improve the lives of our clients. From starting in a little apartment to operating in over 30 countries, we have come a long way. And corporate responsibility is at the heart of our company all along the way. Our management team is very diverse, and we support diversity, equity and inclusion. I'm also proud that we also donate thousands to charities every month. Lastly, we are the only Carbon Neutral Azure Expert MSP, MWBE, and sponsor the Black Channel Partner Alliance, Women in Technology, and Women in Cloud.
